It’s time once again for the Watcher’s Council’s ‘Weasel Of The Week’ nominations, where we pick our choices to compete for the award of the famed Golden Weasel to a public figure who particularly deserves to be slimed and mocked for his or her dastardly deeds during the week. Every Tuesday morning, tune in for the Weasel of the Week nominations!

Live 5 News: NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -The 41-year-old man accused of taping a 15-month-old dog’s muzzle shut last week was issued a $50,000 bond Tuesday morning, and told he must surrender another dog at his home.
William Leonard Dodson was arrested Monday night in the abuse case of Caitlyn, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix who was found last week with electrical tape wrapped around her muzzle, according to North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor.
Dodson, who has been charged with animal cruelty, was issued a $50,000 surety bond Tuesday by Magistrate Priscilla Baldwin.He also must surrender a second dog he has at his residence, Baldwin ordered.
*This guy, as always with animal abusers, got off way to light. In cases like these, I’m and eye for an eye kinda gal! And let us remember that Domestic and Animal Abuse are related!!

I doubt this bastard Dodson has $5,000, and sending him to jail means little at this point. He’ll probably get get some kind of plea bargain involving community service.” Another said, “Just horrific. I can’t print what I would do to this asshat given a chance. Dogs are the most innocent of souls. He’s getting off way too light.” And still others said, “I can’t even look at that. I hugged both of my dogs after seeing that”; “That is a stomach-churning photograph”; and “There are more pics at the Blaze. What kind of scumbag would do something like that? Gawd”.
Racialist Cop Hater and Baltimore City Attorney Marilyn Mosby!!
The Noisy Room: I nominate for Weasel of the Week, Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby for pulling an Anthony Weiner and claiming her Twitter account was hacked after two controversial tweets were “favorited” by a personal Twitter account belonging to her. The first tweet referred to the officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray as “those 6 THUG cops” and the other praised Mosby and claimed she “INFURIATES a certain kind of white person.” Her office is now claiming that these acts were conducted by some shadowy hacker. It’s amazing to me that these politicians can’t behave on social media and when they get caught, they always blame some nefarious nerd for their bad behavior.

“Both Mosby’s official Twitter account and her personal account were hacked,” the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office reportedly told “The Kelly File” on Wednesday. “We do not know how long it’s been going on, we are working with Twitter.”
Mosby revealed on May 23 that her official government Twitter account had been hacked, but did not mention her personal account being compromised. Further, the tweets in question were favorited by her personal account weeks before her government account was reportedly hacked.
How convenient that only two Tweets were hacked on a Twitter account that wasn’t reported hacked at all – I’m sure it’s just a massive coincidence that the two Tweets are highly racist, offensive and just so happen to paint her as the cop-hater and grand-stander she really is. She’s just the kind of weasel Progressive that Obama hearts.
Secretary Of State John Kerry – Did You know He Served In Vietnam?
Virginia Right!: John Kerry took a break from negotiations with Iran on a nuclear deal to have a little fun in the world of competitive cycling. The rigors of the Tour de France circuit are pretty daunting. And Kerry is 71 years old. et he decided to risk his health and limb on a bicycle.
And he broke his hip or leg. Apparently the hip replacement surgery he had a while back is pretty close to the break.
So first and foremost, he is an idiot.
But more importantly, Iran now miraculously has more time to refine nuclear material while the talks are on hold.
So, did John Kerry break his hip on purpose to help Iran develop the bomb? Of course not! His leg isn’t really broken. He is faking it. (Ok. That is for my conspiracy theory friends.)
I am sure he broke his leg. And it was nothing more than complete stupidity. But it does throw a monkey wrench in the Iran talks and gives them what they need most – more time.
And as if that were not enough, Kerry had his doctor flown to Europe and accompany him on his return flight to the US for treatment. In a military transport jet that usually carries 100 soldiers.
Kerry probably added 2 degrees to global warming on his trip back home.

The Air Force plane touched down in Switzerland on Monday after taking off from a US base in Ramstein, Germany, and then heading to Massachusetts after collecting the 71-year-old politician.
Kerry tweeted out ‘big thanks’ to his well-wishers and said he looked forward to getting his leg set and getting back to work at the State Department. “

JoshuaPundit: The thing about weasels is that they love to disguise their self-serving evil as virtue, as something ‘everybody knows’ and ‘every decent person supports.’ When you hear that coming out of someone’s mouth, it’s a dead giveaway you’re talking to a totalitarian lovin’ prog fascist.
Rep. Carolyn Maloney has a bill she’s submitting in the House that would require Americans who choose to avail themselves of the freedoms given to them by the 2nd Amendment to purchase mandatory liability insurance.
“We require insurance to own a car, but no such requirement exists for guns,” Maloney said in a statement. “The results are clear: car fatalities have declined by 25 percent in the last decade, but gun fatalities continue to rise.”
Maloney said auto insurance carriers incentivize drivers to take precautions to reduce accidents, but no such incentives exist for firearm owners
Of course, aside from being unconstitutional, there are two outright lies in that statement. First, there’s no insurance requirement to own and drive a car. While most people buy it, especially if they have a vehicle of some value, Every state in the union allows a cash bond to be posted by a prospective car owner in lieu of insurance. And there is no requirement to obtain insurance when you buy a vehicle. That’s why most policies include uninsured motorist coverage.
And gun fatalities aren’t rising. They’ve been falling for some time, and are down 49% from 1993.
Ah, but here’s where the real weasel touch comes in. Guess who Ms. Maloney’s biggest campaign contributors are?
Why yes! It’s the insurance companies, who stand to make a nice chunk o’ change if this idiocy went through.
The bill is almost certainly headed nowhere, but this way, Ms. Maloney can say she tried to her donors. And may I add that this legislation, like most gun control merda taurorum is racist and elitest as well, since it discriminates against minorities and the poor whom need to defend themselves? Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it, from a privileged congress weasel with the best security money can buy – courtesy of the U.S, tax payers she wants to disarm so badly.
Well, there it is. What a despicable group of Weasels…ANY OF THEM COULD WIN! Check back Thursday to see which Weasel walks off with the statuette of shame!

Think about this the next time you go out for Chinese dinner in the U.S. or anywhere else. Are you really sure what you are eating?
And stop supporting a country, a society, people who think this is okay. Stop buying Chinese products until this changes. China has a horrific record on both human rights and the treatment of animals and they have poisoned our kids with led toys in Happy Meals; they have sold us bad pet food over and over again that has killed hundreds if not thousands of American pets; and they manipulate their currency to destroy ours (the currencies of the west).

These disturbing images show dogs being cooked and served up as a meal in a grim Chinese tradition.
The animals are chopped up and cooked in front of diners – despite a growing anti-cruelty campaign.
A group of Chinese activists in Yulin City, Guangxi province, descended on the dog meat market campaigning against eating the animals.

Artist Pian Shan Kong knelt down in front of the dead animals confessing for people’s sins as he apologized to the dead animals during the demonstration.
China is yet to make animal cruelty illegal and end the grim tradition despite campaigning by animal rights activists.
Pet lovers’ associations have sprung up in Chinese cities over recent years.
While many Chinese enjoy rich dog meat, especially during cold winters, some object to the practice in some regions of beating dogs to death to release the blood into the meat.

When food is scarce, dogs are eaten as an emergency food source around China in a practice which is seen as socially acceptable.
As the country becomes more affluent, a growing number of families are buying dogs as pets fuelling the growing campaign against animal cruelty.
In April, more than 500 dogs set to be slaughtered were saved when the truck they were being carried in to the slaughterhouse was intercepted by activists.
Many of the 505 creatures had barely survived their terrible ordeal, having endured cramped conditions and a lack of water during their near 1,000 mile journey by road.
But rescue came too late for 11 dogs which had succumbed to dehydration and exposure.

BSL and Pit Bulls
What exactly is BSL?
My Pit Bull Friend: BSL is an abbreviation for Breed Specific Legislation. Not only is this Legislation targeting specific breeds of dog, but dogs that appear to have characteristics of certain breeds. Your dogs may not even be close to what is on the ban list but may be affected negatively nonetheless. In Iowa, a Pit Bull is defined as “any dog that is an American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, or any dog displaying the majority of physical traits of any one or more of the above breeds (more so than any other breed), or any dog exhibiting those distinguishing characteristics.”
Pit Bull type breeds are included in every single breed restriction or ban that has been set in place by each region that has implemented a legislation, every single one! This ban affects dogs all around the world. These bans and restrictions around the world vary from region to region but the effect that it’s having on these dogs is very real.
The following are some of the legislation requirements that you must follow depending upon the region your are in:
Must not own, sell, harbor, breed, keep a Pit Bull type dog.
Leash and or muzzle your dog when in public.
Must be 21 years of age or older
Post “Beware of Dog” signs around your residence.
Procure $100,000 US in liability insurance.
Spay/neuter the dog.
Must surrender the dog to be euthanized if it has bitten a person or animal.
Everyday, Pit Bulls are being killed due to legislation. In the areas where these dogs are illegal to have, there are many people that have no choice but to relocate their dogs within a certain time frame or give them up where they eventually are killed. Since it is already hard as it is to relocate Pit Bulls, the rise in deaths has grown drastically. These are dogs that have never harmed a thing in their lives and are gentle and loving and are being forced out of their homes to suffer an unjustifiable death with no where to go but shelters where they are put down. It’s a Holocaust of sorts and is completely unfair to loving dogs and owners alike, who both feel the impact.
The ban affects home owners and renters alike because insurance companies see these breeds as a liability and will not allow them on their properties, making finding a residence extremely hard for owners that do not wish to give up their dogs.
There is a fear of these breeds now and this causes people to cast judgment solely based upon a false sense of fear. The truth is that dogs sometimes attack people,, not just a specific breed or breeds, but the species as a whole. By banning and killing off dogs solely based off of appearance, we are endorsing and showing that stereotyping is okay and should be enforced. It is showing that every dog that looks a certain way is exactly the same. This is so wrong on so many levels. Instead of killing off dogs that belong to a responsible owner why not punish owners who are irresponsible. Why should the actions of the few affect the masses so dramatically?
Banning these breeds, instead of implementing new laws that target irresponsible owners and dogs that actually are dangerous, is not working. These dogs are now being bred by people who just want to make a profit based on their desirability, who in fact, are worsening the breeds. These dogs are being bred in mills and with no concern for good temperaments, genes, and health problems, which is causing more stereotyping to happen. What should be done instead of banning the breeds, is enforcing proper breeding practices and responsible dog ownership.
The fight to end BSL is one that will take the efforts of every person that cares about these dogs. If we don’t stand up for them no one will and then what? Let them die, suffer, and soon be banned everywhere causing the extinction of many breeds? Ending BSL starts with you. Educating yourself and others and being a responsible dog owner is just the beginning to a long road of changing the view about Pit Bulls and Pit Bull type breed.

Have you seen this video from last month showing a dying dog living in a trash pile in L.A.? The video’s notes say that the dog had been living there for months– why would the people who knew that not call for help months sooner?!!

Miley is now doing great now. buy this type of thing is happening to America’s pets more and more. In Detroit alone, there are 50,000 or more abandoned dogs roaming the streets, living in vacant homes and reverting to dangerous pack behavior… adding just another aspect to the crisis in that city.
The fact that we euthanize three to four MILLION dogs and cats a year according to the Humane Society says a lot about our country and us as people. Essentially means nationwide, about half of the dogs and cats in animal shelters are put to death mostly because of human laziness and irresponsibility.
Innocent puppies and kittens, dogs and cats, and other animals are being set in a gas chamber to choke to death or given lethal injections. They haven’t done anything wrong and have no idea why they’ve been abandoned and sentenced to die.
It is time that we do a better job of matching animals with homes, encouraging people to adopt an extra pet and developing a better foster system as well as spay and neutering our pets. In some areas we animals are still allowed to roam freely. And if you know of animal neglect or abuse, or even suspect, report it or step in. If you see a loose dog, help it. And helping our friends, neighbors and family look out for their furry family members, especially during tough times. is something we can all do!
Thank God Miley was rescued, but there are millions more who need our help… millions of dogs, cats, animals of all kinds will be rounded up, stuck in cages, and then put to death after a few humans peeked into their cells for a second but passed them by. Or perhaps no one stopped by at all.
We need to stop the abuse and needless killing of pets, animals of all kinds, as well as human babies in America!

Dog(s) Survive 4th of July Prank
NBCLA/THITW: A 2-year-old pit bull pup who may have been the victim of a cruel Fourth of July prank was rescued July 5th, but it’s just the start of what likely will be a long recovery for the badly burned dog. The young pit bull was found July 5 in the Van Nuys, Calif., area and brought to the East Valley Animal Shelter.
While rescuers are unsure exactly what happened to the dog they named Indy, they suspect he may have been hurt by fireworks the day before.
Shelter Transport Animal Rescue Team (S.T.A.R.T.) took the dog into their care Thursday. The group, which describes its purpose as removing animals from high-kill shelters in Los Angeles, is offering a $1,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of whoever injured Indy.
"We named him Indy because we want Independence Day to mark his freedom from those who hurt him," according to a video posted to S.T.A.R.T.’s Facebook page.
In the video, Indy takes ginger steps around his cage. He is suffering from third-degree burns over half his body, including on his stomach, legs and paws.
Dr. Daniel Slaton, a well-known surgeon who typically operates on humans, was called in after the pit bull was apparently strapped with fireworks and lit ablaze. He believes based on the pattern and location of the burns, the dog was strapped with fireworks on July 4.
“Fire from the fireworks are going down his legs, and as it was being lit, he was walking and burning the bottoms of his feet,” said Slaton, lead surgeon at the Westlake Village Animal Hospital, where Indy has undergone at least 2 surgeries so far.
Called "sweet and gentle" by rescuers, the 2 to 3-year-old pup (pictured above) is being treated by a burn specialist at the private veterinarian hospital, where he’ll have to stay at least another month.
His next surgery is scheduled for Friday morning.
Rescuers are asking for the public’s help to fund Indy’s extensive recovery.

And now for a twist on the classic Chihuahua/rat urban legend … Vendors at the largest flea market in La Salada, Argentina, are apparently subjecting ferrets to steroids (and strange grooming regimens) to make them resemble pedigree toy poodles, then selling them to unsuspecting tourists. Multiple sources have confirmed being taken by this scam, which is simply mind-boggling — take one look at the malicious rodent glimmer in that thing’s eyes and tell us you’d mistake it for a poodle. The two people who have come forward have not filed complaints, because sadly, most black markets are sorely lacking in customer service desks. [Source]

Everyday we read or hear another story about pets and other animals being abandoned in record numbers while at the same time we regularly hear about crazy new rules and laws being passed limiting the amount of pets that people may have, even down to one or two… or worse yet, none.
Nobody is promoting hoarding pets or animals, but at a time when there are more pets and animals of all types being abandoned or being taken to shelters already bursting at the seams, there is nothing crazier than legislating away the ability of willing adoptive families to take in just one more pet!!
